Dark Horse Comics 7 was a preview comic issue, published by Dark Horse Comics in February of 1993. The cover art depicts soon-to-be Jedi Nomi Sunrider, defending her daughter following the death of her husband, Andur Sunrider. Included in this issue is an afterword written by Star Wars author Tom Veitch, in which he discusses his views on writing Tales of the Jedi.

Differences[]
Even though the content of the except from The Saga of Nomi Sunrider, Part 1 of 3 is the same as what would eventually be released, a main difference can be seen in the colors of the excerpt in Dark Horse Comics 7. Compared with the colors in the final release of The Saga of Nomi Sunrider, the colors in Dark Horse Comics 7 are much more vibrant and bright, as compared with the final released version which have more of an earth-tone, less vibrant touch to it.
