During the Cold War, a crisis struck the Jedi Order, when fallen Padawan Parkanas Tark, in his persona of Sith Lord Vivicar, possessed by the spirit of the Sith Terrak Morrhage, utilized the Dark Plague disease to corrupt the minds of Jedi Masters across the galaxy. The conflict was resolved thanks to the efforts of a Jedi Knight, who used the ancient shielding technique to save Vivicar's victims and ultimately redeemed Tark.
