The Dark Troopers Unit Expansion is an expansion to Star Wars: Legion that brings the third-generation design Dark Trooper into the Galactic Empire faction.[1] The expansion was released on February 17, 2023.[1]

Imperial armies get a terrifying new addition with this expansion for Star Wars: Legion! As a new Imperial Heavy unit, the seven Dark Trooper miniatures in this expansion give players a variety of ways to terrify their opponents, including a XS-IV Assault Cannon Trooper, an SM-9 Frag Launcher Trooper, and an Mertalizer Trooper. Beyond their standard and heavy weapon options, the Dark Troopers are also accompanied by a new programming upgrade that gives players another way to customize their approach to battle.[1]

Dark Troopers are an elite group of combat droids programmed for maximum destruction. A far more menacing foe than their live stormtrooper counterparts, Dark Troopers are not deterred by fear, danger, or concern for their own survival while they stalk their prey. Jet boosters on their feet allow Dark Troopers to take to the air to close in on their targets and deploy directly from ships. For most fighters, facing one Dark Trooper may be a fatal proposal. Only the most powerful warrior or strategist would be able to take down an entire platoon.[2]
This expansion for STAR WARS: LEGION contains 7 finely sculpted Imperial Dark Trooper miniatures along with new unit and upgrade cards to field in battle.[2]
