The Darklighter cache, also known as the Darklighter cave, was a cave located on the planet Tatooine. Located near the Darklighter estate, it was used by the Darklighter family as a cache.

History

Sometime following the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, the cave was overtaken by Desert Demons. Draci, the guard of the cache, tasked a spacer with clearing the cave and accessing its five inventory terminals in under fifteen minutes. The spacer succeeded, thus effectively restoring the cache for the Darklighters.

Around the same time, Jabba the Hutt's sadistic EV-series supervisor droid EV-9D9 tasked an individual with destroying three droids who escaped Jabba's Palace and took refuge within the cave. These droids included an R3-series astromech droid named R3-B57, a B1-series battle droid named BD-34, and an RA-7 protocol droid named RA-316. According to EV-9D9's punitive instructions, the spacer planted pain bolts to the droids before destroying them.

Behind the scenes

The Darklighter cache was a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. The Darklighter cache was added to the game upon the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
