Dasani, stylized as DASANI,[6] was a clear-looking bottled water found at Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.[1] It came in a tall, clear bottle with a blue and white logo, with its brand name printed on the side in stylized Aurebesh. It was stored in red-colored box-shaped containers filled with ice to maintain a low temperature.[6]
Behind the scenes[]
Dasani is a product based on the real-life bottled water product of the same name made by the Coca-Cola Company. Specialized spherical containers for the products (exempting Dasani) were created specifically for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, with the idea originating from a tour conducted by the Walt Disney Imagineering members at the Coke Archives, in particular the Spencerian script used for its various products' logos.
Matt Cooper, an associate industrial designer at Coke, mentioned that the resulting project challenged his design team to "take their brands places they've never taken them to", referring to the Batuu setting, specifically intending to have the bottles look like they were pulled off a ship or left behind at Batuu and then repurposed, all while keeping to the aesthetics to the Star Wars franchise. This is not the first time Coca-Cola has partnered with Disney for one of its products, as it also was present in aiding Disney since the opening of Disneyland in 1955.[6]
