Dauntarist was an individual who reached the rank of commander in the Alliance to Restore the Republic. At one stage during their time as commander, Dauntarist showed the protocol droid C-D20 and its astromech droid counterpart R2-RD a database of starship models, available for use by Rebel agents. After being shown the database, both droids were stationed in a hangar to inform agents of the ships they could choose from.[1]
Behind the scenes
Dauntarist was first mentioned in 1995 in the article "A Buyer's Guide to Alternative Starships" which was published in the fifth issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal series of supplement books for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The article was written by Stephen Luminati and did not state the commander's species or gender.
