Dave Wolverton (May 15, 1957 – January 14, 2022)[1] was the author of the novel The Courtship of Princess Leia. He also wrote a number of short stories, including Payback: The Tale of Dengar, The Sand Tender: The Hammerhead's Tale, and A Free Quarren in the Palace: Tessek's Tale for the Star Wars short-story anthologies Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, Tales from Jabba's Palace and Tales of the Bounty Hunters. Wolverton also contributed to the Jedi Apprentice young-reader series, writing book one, The Rising Force, and co-writing book three, The Hidden Past, with Jude Watson. He also wrote four of the Episode I Adventures, which include Episode I Adventures 5: The Ghostling Children, Episode I Adventures 6: The Hunt for Anakin Skywalker, Episode I Adventures 7: Capture Arawynne and Episode I Adventures 8: Trouble on Tatooine. Wolverton also wrote eight books of the Star Wars Missions series.
