David Oyelowo (born April 1, 1976) is a British-Nigerian actor who voices Alexsandr Kallus in Star Wars Rebels. He first became involved with Lucasfilm when he played the character Joe "Lightning" Little in Red Tails.

He is perhaps best known for voicing Scar in The Lion Guard, and for the lead roles in Selma (2014, as the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.) and A United Kingdom (2016, as Seretse Khama, King of Botswana). He also starred in the 2011 sci-fi movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes, with Andy Serkis.

One of his early memorable film appearances was as Corporal Ira Clark in Steven Spielberg's Lincoln (2012), which also featured Adam Driver and music scored by John Williams.

He recently starred in the action/drama Gringo, co-starring Joel Edgerton and directed by Joel's brother Nash.
