"Death Star Rising" was a song by the pro-Imperial minga musical group The Emperor's New Clothes. In a display of bad taste, the song was released within days after the Empire's destruction of the planet Alderaan by the Death Star superweapon. It was featured on the album Artistic Integrity, which was the band's latest release at some point in time between 0 ABY and 4 ABY.
Like all of The Emperor's New Clothes' music, "Death Star Rising" was approved by the Imperial Board of Culture. The content and nature of the song led some observers to believe a closer relationship between The Emperor's New Clothes and the Galactic Empire.
