"Come on, General, let's get you fed and watered. You won't be fit for much without some decent skraan inside you."
―Dec to Etain Tur-Mukan[1]

Dec was a male Human clone commando sergeant in command of Vevut Squad during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[1] Born on the planet Kamino as a clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, Dec was trained by the Mandalorian sergeant Rav Bralor. The commando and his squad served in the Grand Army of the Republic's Special Operations Brigade[1] and in 19 BBY,[3] Vevut Squad—together with fellow commando units Omega and Delta and their commanding Jedi General Etain Tur-Mukan—went to the Republic Station Nerrif to be reassigned. After exiting their transport, Dec led Tur-Mukan to the mess and encouraged her to eat something. The Jedi General noted that Dec and his squadmates behaved like sons trying to please their mother.[1] Like all Fett clones,[4] Dec stood 1.83 meters tall.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Dec first appeared in Order 66, a novel written by Karen Traviss and published in September 2009.
