The decay mites were insects native to Talus, found also on Corellia.
Characteristics[]
Decay mites were insects from Talus.[2] They walked on six legs, and possessed two grasping arms with pincers, eight limbs in total. Races and subspecies included the dung mite and the rot mite, also found on Talus.[1]
History[]
During the Galactic Civil War, a swarm of giant decay mites lived in a cave on the planet Talus. Scientists believed that something in the rock of the cave had triggered these impressive changes within the insects.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Decay mites appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3]
