- "Bad news, Long Snoot?"
"I need a job. Something quick. Today."
"Do you know Derrida, the Ketton? She needs a number two for a job. Tonight." - ―Kardue'sai'Malloc and Garindan ezz Zavor
Derrida was a Ketton assassin active during the Galactic Civil War between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire.[1] In 0 BBY,[2] she needed a partner for a nighttime assassination job against the Alliance on the desert planet Tatooine; however, no one wanted to take it, as it involved taking sides in the war.[1]
The Devaronian Kardue'sai'Malloc considered the job too much work to take personally, but on the day the job was due to take place, he informed the Kubaz spy Garindan ezz Zavor of Derrida's need for a second when the Kubaz asked him about quick work while the pair were in the city Mos Eisley on Tatooine. Desperate for credits, the spy told the Devaronian he would take the job, and so Kardue'sai'Malloc sent Derrida a message on his datapad, informing Zavor that she would be in contact to provide the Kubaz with the coordinates.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current Star Wars canon, Derrida was mentioned in "The Secrets of Long Snoot," a short story written by Delilah S.
