Desolation Alley was a Galactic Republic maximum security prison on the moon Oovo IV. Notable prisoners included Aurra Sing, Fud Sang, and Bendix Fust. During the last years of the Galactic Republic, Fenn Booda served as the prison warden.
In addition to corrections officers and security guards, the prison was patrolled by RC-AD Riot Control/Assault Droids. Ugnaughts were made engineers in the prison, usually keeping up on maintenance and repairs, especially the crucial deflector shield generators.
Jango Fett, while escaping an unsuccessful bounty mission, acquired (via thievery) his infamous prototype Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft Slave I here.
By 32 BBY, the prison became famous for podracing. It was later destroyed by the forces of the Yuuzhan Vong during the Yuuzhan Vong War.
