During a war between the Gungan tribes of the planet Naboo, the ancient fortress city Spearhead was destroyed by a Gungan army led by Boss Gallo. Sometime after the arrival of humans on Naboo in approximately 4000 BBY and millennia before the Imperial Era, Gallo had united the Gungan tribes under one banner and raised a massive army to attack Spearhead, home to the rogue warlord Boss Rogoe and the remaining holdouts against Gallo's united Gungans. Once Gallo's army had destroyed the city, Gallo laid the foundations for a new Gungan capital called Otoh Gunga, which was expanded in subsequent generations as Gungans sought to escape the humans and Naboo's predators.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The destruction of Spearhead was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Nexus of Power, a 2016 sourcebook published by Fantasy Flight Games for the Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Raid on Spearhead was first mentioned in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Prima's Official Strategy Guide by Steven L. Kent,[2] released on November 7, 2001,[3] before appearing in the LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds,[4] released on November 11 in the same year.[5]
