Di'reni was a Twi'lek female bartender and owner[2] of Club Lazuli in Canto Bight[1] on the planet Cantonica.[4] The Twi'lek's club was under the protection of the Sixth Kin criminal organization, led by Wen Delphis. After the Sixth Kin lieutenant Ariole Yu and the sniper Just Lucky were sent by Delphis to collect a debt from Koz in Club Lazuli, Di'Reni watched from behind the bar, speaking with Lucky while Yu fought with several of Koz's associates. When the situation devolved into a shootout, Di'Reni retrieved a blaster and fired upon Koz's henchmen as the Sixth Kin operatives pursued their target out of the establishment.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Di'reni first appeared in the ninth issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. The issue was written by Alyssa Wong, illustrated by Minkyu Jung, and published by Marvel Comics[1] on April 21, 2021.[5] Wong later confirmed the capitalization of the Twi'lek's name on Twitter.[2]
