A diagnostic scanner was a type of sensor that was designed to diagnose problems. They were commonly installed on droids,[1] such as maintenance droids[2] and medical droids.[1] Diagnostic scanners were also included in medpacs such as Chiewab Amalgamated Pharmaceuticals Company's GLiS Emergency Medpac were they were capable of monitoring a patient's vital signs.[3]
