Diane Polley (August 31, 1935–January 10, 1990) was the voice actress who provided the voice of Dobah on Ewoks; she performed in a total of thirteen episodes.
Polley's career was multi-hyphenate, with her work as both an actress and casting director. In the former capacity, she appeared on shows like the drama Street Legal (along with fellow Star Wars alum Shane Rimmer) and smaller roles on Encounter and Ramona. In her latter job, she worked on shows like Anne of Green Gables and Philip Marlowe, Private Eye, which also featured Rimmer alongside William Hootkins, Bruce Boa, Garrick Hagon and Christopher Muncke.
Polley passed away on January 10, 1990, at the age of 54. She was survived by her daughter, Oscar-winning screenwriter and actress Sarah Polley. The two appeared together on Ramona, in which Sarah starred.[1]
