"Where is Dina? Where is she? What have you done with her!?"
―A victim of the White Thranta Shipping Company[src]

Dina was a female individual who lived on Tatooine during the Galactic Civil War. By the time of the Battle of Yavin, Dina was captured by henchmen of the White Thranta Shipping Company. The organization was actually serving as a front for Jabba Desilijic Tiure, kidnapping victims and infecting them for deranged experiments. Most of the "subjects" did not survive the experiments.[1] Around 1 ABY,[2] a spacer investigated the White Thranta Shipping offices and found dying prisoners. One such victim withered on the ground, shouting in anguish about an individual named Dina.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Dina was mentioned in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts.[1] The game was shut down on December 15, 2011.[3] Dina was mentioned by the prisoners in the White Thranta Shipping bunker,[1] added to the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" with the release of the "Publish 25", a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements", on November 15, 2005.[4]
