- Calrissian: "Mindharp? What in the name of the Core is that?"
- Whett: "Oh, just a ridiculous native superstition. There is supposed to be a lost magical artifact designed to call the Sharu—with whom the Toka identify in some strange fashion—to call the Sharu back when the Toka need them. Silly, as the Toka could not possibly ever have been contemporary with a civilization millions of years in the past, any more than human beings and dinosaurs—"
- Feb: "I've seen dinosaurs, on Trammis III."
- ―Lando Calrissian, Osuno Whett and Arun Feb[src]
Dinosaurs were ancient reptiles that were extinct long before Human civilization emerged. However, the giant reptiloids of Trammis III, such as the akorec, were often compared to them, or even referred to as being dinosaurs.
Behind the scenes
The Acklay, seen in the Geonosian arena in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, is partly dinosaur-inspired, as George Lucas specifically requested an arena creature that combined a praying mantis with a velociraptor.[1] The Tiss'shar have also been explicitly referred to as "Therapods," a term for a group of primarily carnivorous bipedal dinosaurs.[2]
