Djinn Altis' name was carved into a wall in the Jabiim safehouse.
Djinn Altis was an individual whose name was carved into the walls of safehouses belonging to the Hidden Path network, which protected Force-sensitive individuals—including Jedi—from the Galactic Empire and smuggled them to[1] the planet[2] Jabiim, where they would receive new identities in order to hide.[1]
The Hidden Path safehouse on the planet Mapuzo featured one such carving of their name, written in the Aurebesh script, which Princess Leia Organa saw when she and Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi visited the safehouse on Mapuzo[1] in 9 BBY.[3] A second carving of Altis' name—also in Aurebesh—was on the walls of the Jabiim safehouse[4] at that time.[3]
Behind the scenes[]

Djinn Altis was first mentioned in Aurebesh in "Part III,"[1] the third episode of the live-action Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi, which aired on June 1, 2022.[2] The trivia gallery in the episode guide for "Part III" established that Altis' name was one of the references to Jedi originating in the Star Wars Legends continuity whose names were carved into the walls of the Mapuzo safehouse for the episode.[5] In the Legends continuity, Djinn Altis was first mentioned in the 1995 novel Children of the Jedi written by Barbara Hambly[6] and first appeared in the novel The Clone Wars: No Prisoners written by Karen Traviss and published in 2009.[7]
The fifth issue of the 2023 comic miniseries Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, which adapts the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, depicts the Jabiim safehouse wall with inscriptions[8] that the episode establishes included Altis' name,[1] though the issue does not include Altis' name in a recognizable form. The issue was written by Jody Houser, illustrated by Salvador Larroca, and published by Marvel Comics[8] on February 7, 2024.[9]
