The dogfight over Naboo was a minor space battle that took place over Naboo some time after 0 ABY.
Background[]
- "Very good. We've had to cut short some of our patrols because we're running out of pilots. Can you do some patrolling for me?"
- ―Captain Typho, to a spacer
While the Royal Naboo Security Forces were pestered by criminal gangs such as the Maulers[3] and the Skaak Tippers planetside,[1] the Naboo Planetary Defense was troubled by the presence of pirates.[8] The RSF agents involved in the successful operation resulting in the death of one of the Skaak Tippers' leaders, Jonni Skaak, having been placed under the command of Typho in Keren,[1] Typho eyed an opportunity to do something about the pirate problem.[8]
Battle over Naboo[]
- "Good work on that patrol mission, by the way. Rezunin Starwing, one of the Naboo Pirate bosses is in the area. Take him down."
- ―Captain Typho, to a spacer
Typho decided to lend Naboo Planetary Defense a hand, and ordered his new subordinates to take off into space and patrol the Naboo system. Half way through their patrol duty, the agents discovered a small pirate force consisting of five Kihraxz light fighters, with who they engaged in combat immediately. The pirates were defeated, and the RSF agents landed in Keren and reported in to Typho.[8]
Typho ordered them to go back into space in anticipation of the arrival of the pirate leader Rezunin Starwing. Starwing arrived with an escort of three M3-A Scyk fighters, but was defeated by the NPD agents.[9]
Aftermath[]
- "Well, you've helped us clear our piloting backlog, so we'll have to find something else for you to do."
- ―Captain Typho, to a spacer
Having solved the pirate problem,[9] Typho could concentrate fully on the threat from the Maulers and would dispatch his agents on several missions against the Maulers,[3][4][5] before placing them under the command of Pooja Naberrie.[10]

- ↑ According to its opening crawl, Star Wars Galaxies was set sometime after Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The only precise time indication in the game was given by the character Ruwan Tokai, who referenced the destruction of the Death Star at the Battle of Yavin as occurring one year earlier, placing the game sometime around 1 ABY. Later, multiple elements confirmed the placement of the game storyline in 1 ABY. First, The Essential Reader's Companion established that the tie-in novel Star Wars Galaxies: The Ruins of Dantooine took place in 1 ABY. Furthermore, the game expansion Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees was set during the Blockade of Kashyyyk, one year after the Battle of Yavin according to The Star Wars Holiday Special. Additionally, the main scenario of The Nightsister's Revenge from the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game was set over a year before the Battle of Hoth (3 ABY), so around 1.5 ABY. Finally, the reference book Strongholds of Resistance placed the events of Star Wars Galaxies's Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" one year after the Battle of Yavin. Of note, Galaxies's Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" introduced the Battle of Hoth in the game. However, the developers were quite clear that this was only intended to be a completely isolated "Star Wars Moment" without any effect on continuity for the rest of the game.
