Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities was located in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. Its proprietor was the Ithorian collector Dok-Ondar.[1]

Description[]

DokOndarsInterior-TGTB

The interior of the shop

Dok-Ondar was an avid collector of antiques and any other oddities that would interest him,[1] including weapons, armor, animals, plants, droids, and even remains of sentient beings.[2] He amassed his vast collection in his travels and with the aid of his employees, scavengers, mercenaries, bounty hunters, and any others who were willing to take on his quests.[3] His expansive collection of antiquities and valuables made his store resemble a small museum with buyable treasures.[2] He would also loan out his wares and keep track of them via holographic documents.[source?]

Outside of the store, Dok-Ondar displayed a bust of Jedi, a statue of a Jedi Consular resembling one formerly located at the Jedi Temple, and a large stone foot.[2] He also had an Ithorian gravestone dedicated to his father and mother.[4]

Den of Antiquities

Concept art of the shop

Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities is one of the gift shops at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, specializing in high-end collectibles related to Jedi and Sith lore such as statues, historic lightsabers, and holocrons. An animatronic of Ondar can also be found in the shop, with cast-member attendants interacting with him.[10]

The Twi'lek Ark inside the store was based on the Ark of the Covenant from the first Indiana Jones film, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Its depiction here bears a greater resemblance to the artifact from the film. The "blue snaggletooth" ashes are a reference to the original Kenner action figure of the background character Zutton from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope which depicted him as blue. The background ambience inside the shop was produced by Naveed Dezfoli for Walt Disney Imagineering.[source?]

The short story "Buyer Beware" from the 2020 novel Dark Legends offers no clear answer about the unidentified mask other than that it is very old and that it holds a dark power.[8] It does not have an official backstory, but is often given two different explanations by store attendants, with some referring to it as a Sith Acolyte mask while others refer to it as the mask of Darth Momin, despite bearing little resemblance to Momin's mask.[source?]

The unidentified Mandalorian banner bears the sigil of Jaster Mereel's True Mandalorians group, which first appeared in the Star Wars Legends 2002 comic series Jango Fett: Open Seasons, written by W. Haden Blackman and illustrated by Ramón F. Bachs.[source?]
