Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac was a brand of wine. It was popular with members of the Galactic Senate of the Republic during the debate over a military budget bill early in the Clone Wars, consumed during meetings, small conferences, and celebrations. The wine became subject of investigation after the Rodian politician, Onaconda Farr was killed by poison that had been mixed into a bottle of Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac was first seen in the fifteenth episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 2, "Senate Murders." While the brand name of the bottle is too small to be seen on screen, the trivia gallery for the episode on StarWars.com revealed that the label reads "Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac: Produce of Naboo."[1] Unlike most writings in the Star Wars Universe, the name of the brand is written in High Galactic which uses the real life Roman alphabet. Translated from French, Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac means "Domain of the House on the Lake."
