Dor'shan was a location on the planet Dorin, an Expansion Region world with a helium-rich atmosphere that was the homeworld of the Kel Dor species. A Kel Dor owned an orchard just outside Dor'shan which was visited by the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs during a culinary tour of the galaxy that he took[1] between 34 ABY and 35 ABY.[2] Tuggs later mentioned Dor'shan in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, which was published[1] in 35 ABY.[2]

In the current Star Wars canon, Dor'shan was mentioned in the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak.[1] The location originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Star Wars Roleplaying Game Saga Edition Core Rulebook, a 2007 rulebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game published by Wizards of the Coast.[3] It then appeared in the 2009 novel Fate of the Jedi: Outcast, which was written by Aaron Allston as the opening installment in the Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi series.[4]
