- "I had a dream I was a Jedi. I came back here and freed all the slaves."
- ―Anakin Skywalker
Dreams were images, thoughts, and feelings, a phenomena experienced while a being was sleeping. Particularly disturbing dreams were known as nightmares. Force users sometimes had Force visions of the future during dreams, but the content and purpose of these were often poorly understood.
History[]
- "Dreams pass in time."
- ―Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker
As a slave, Anakin Skywalker dreamed of becoming a Jedi.[1] About ten years later, though Obi-Wan Kenobi claimed dreams pass in time, Skywalker experienced emotionally powerful Force visions while he dreamed.[2] Shortly before the death of both his mother and wife, Anakin experienced visions of their deaths.[3] The inhibitor chips implanted in the clone troopers to force them to carry out Order 66[4] had the side effect of giving them indistinct nightmares about a never-ending "mission" relating to the command long before the chips were activated.[5]
