- "This is Ghorman reaching for any open channel that can hear me! If you can... If you can hear me... If you believe in truth, if you have any faith left in truth, please, please mark this message and pass it forward. This is murder! The Empire built this fire. They made this fire and led us to the slaughter. Now they expect us to die without knowing why. The conspiracy we've feared is real! It's here today!"
- ―Dreena, on comms
Dreena was a Ghorman human member of the Ghorman Front, a rebel group that opposed the Galactic Empire on the planet Ghorman.[1] In 2 BBY, when the Empire opened the previously barricaded Palmo Plaza, Dreena was one of hundreds to enter the area to protest. When the Empire began to massacre the citizens, Dreena fled and broadcast a signal on the radio, pleading for help.[3] Dreena and the rebel Wilmon Paak, whose lower leg was injured, later escaped Ghorman and went to the Axis network safehouse on the planet Coruscant.[5] Dreena would later live with Paak at the Alliance's base on the moon Yavin 4.[6]

Dreena watches Syril Karn attend a council meeting
Dreena was a Ghorman human female who was part of the Ghorman Front, a group in opposition to the Galactic Empire. In 3 BBY,[7] Dreena attended a meeting at the Ghorman town hall in the planet's capital city Palmo, where the residents expressed anti-Imperial sentiment. The Imperial Bureau of Standards employee Syril Karn also attended the meeting, and Dreena purposefully stood nearby him, assessing his reactions to the meeting. Although the Front believed he was on their side, Karn was secretly a double-agent. Karn began supplying the Front with information on the Empire's construction of an armory in Palmo, a project they claimed was not a military building.[8]
As the Front began to plan operations to resist their Imperial subjugators, Dreena was appointed as the getaway driver for a heist planned by the group's leader, Carro Rylanz. They planned to assault an Imperial transport carrier and steal the cargo, which they had learned from Karn included classified arms. After the group communicated with the Axis network rebel network based on the planet Coruscant, the rebels Vel Sartha and Cinta Kaz were sent to ensure the heist went as planned. Dreena was among the group of rebels who listened to Sartha in the Ghorman Front Headquarters. After hearing the plan, Sartha began to give notes and orders to ensure the rebels could execute their mission.[1]
Sartha addressed Dreena directly, and instructed her to only move the vehicle on direct orders. Dreena was suspicious and refused, despite Rylanz begging her to listen. Dreena protested again, but Kaz then supported Sartha and stated they had to follow all orders. After the briefing ended, Sartha said those who could not obey orders had to leave immediately, and looked pointedly at Dreena and fellow rebel Samm. Dreena asked if they should leave, and then decided to submit to the plan alongside Samm.[1]
Sartha and Kaz still did not trust Dreena, and debated appointing a new driver. However, Dreena went ahead as the driver. As they approached the street, they Dreena orders to stay near them. The heist began successfully, however, after much had the crates had been moved, the group were approached by an elderly Ghorman woman who Dreena led peacefully away from the site. Dreena was reported as missing by the group, which forced Sartha to search for her. Sartha located Dreena and, as the pair returned, they witnessed Samm, who disobeyed orders, accidentally fire his blaster whilst arguing with Lezine, a passer-by, this hit Kaz in the chest, and killed her instantly. Sartha broke down at the death of her lover, and Dreena helped her to the getaway vehicle, before Dilan ushered Sartha inside.[1]
One year later[]

Dreena and Tazi sang We Are The Ghor
In 2 BBY,[9] Dreena had continued her work with Ghorman Front, which developed into a more serious rebel group. She also developed a romance with the rebel Wilmon Paak. One day, Dreena and Paak were together when he received a message from Paak's close friend Cassian Andor to discuss the plans for the assassination on Dedra Meero, an Imperial Security Bureau Supverisor who had recently arrived on Ghorman. As the barricades in Palmo Plaza were lifted, Dreena chose to join her fellow rebels in a protest, and she joined the forming group alongside Paak. The situation became more tense as Stormtroopers arrived, which boxed the rebels in. Paak hid Dreena and told her stay safe whilst he searched for Andor, however she joined fellow rebel Capso in protest. The rebels began distributing weapons as the crowd joined Lezine in singing the national anthem "We Are the Ghor." Dreena and Tazi raised their fists, with several civilians following suit.[3]
The stormtroopers ultimately opened fire on the civilians, and killed many of Dreena's friends. Dreena managed to escape to the radio transmitter to call for help, and told Capso of her intentions. Dreena successfully made an emergency broadcast from the channel Palmo One, announcing that there was a massacre happening. Dreena continued on the report the rising number of dead, as thousands continued to be killed during her broadcast, and stated it was Ghorman reaching for anyone to hear them. Dreena added that the Empire instigated the killings and that the conspiracy they feared was real. She reported that Imperial ships are landing on Ghorman, before Paak and Samm entered. Paak and Dreena embraced before she held up the radio receiver and stated they needed to get the story out.[3]
Yavin 4[]
Dreena and Paak evacuated Ghorman together, although Paak's leg was seriously wounded. They took refuge in the Axis network safehouse, where they were joined by Andor, Mon Mothma, Erskin Semaj, and Kleya Marki. Dreena was worried about Paak, and told Andor they needed to take him to a proper doctor. The group traveled to Yavin 4, where Dreena aided the medics in moving Paak around, and refused to leave his side. General Davits Draven was worried about her identity, but Andor reassured him that she would fit in, having survived the Ghorman massacre.[5]
In 1 BBY,[10] Dreena was still a part of the rebellion, and lived with the recovering Paak on Yavin IV. One day, she was woken by Paak's Fractal radio beeping, which it continued to do so for the following half hour. A worried Dreena confronted Paak demanded to know what it was, before then questioning if he was okay. Paak stated he would tell her later and instructed her to watch the door so that nobody would find it. She did so, and Paak hurriedly left.[6] The following day, she and Paak ate breakfast together.[11]
