The Drengir crisis, also known as the Drengir campaign, (232 BBY–231 BBY) was a major infestation by the amorphous sentient carnivorous plants known as the Drengir, who began to overrun the edge of the Galactic Republic and the territory of the Hutt Clan. Containment efforts by the Jedi Order were undertaken to prevent the threat of the Drengir and their harvest.
The Drengir emerged from Mulita, deep within Wild Space in the aftermath of the Great Hyperspace Disaster, and partook in a number of attacks and even overrunning entire worlds in Outer Rim.
History[]
After the Drengir were encountered on the Amaxine space station following the Great Hyperspace Disaster,[7] they began to wake up across the galaxy. The beings undertook a number of attacks across the frontier, including an assault on the Starlight Beacon space station,[6] with entire worlds becoming overrun by the Drengir. The Jedi of Starlight, under Marshal Avar Kriss, were tasked with handling the situation.[2]
