Dried galcot was a type of food that could be consumed by humans. After escaping Imperial custody on the Outer Rim planet Jakku during the Battle of Jakku[1] in 5 ABY,[2] the New Republic pilot Norra Wexley was picked up by a shuttle that her teammate Jas Emari had stolen from the bounty hunter Mercurial Swift. Wexley consumed the vessel's survival rations, which included dried galcot, kukuia nuts, and kalpa sea-threads.[1]
