Publisher's summary[]

The heroes of Star Wars Rebels are back with more action-packed adventures! Follow them on their journey to save Wookiees as they narrowly escape a terrible Imperial trap. They also meet beloved droids R2-D2 and C-3PO—who are on a mysterious mission to help the Empire! Chopper proves that even a clunky old droid can play a big role in saving the galaxy. But one mission leads to the next for our rebel heroes, and they must ultimately face their biggest enemy yet—the Inquisitor![5]

Continuity[]

Michael Kogge's Droids in Distress adapts the television movie Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion, as well as the episodes "Droids in Distress" and "Rise of the Old Masters."

  4. Droids in Distress adapts the Star Wars Rebels episodes Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion, "Droids in Distress", and "Rise of the Old Masters." "Rise of the Old Masters" takes place before "Breaking Ranks," which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 5 BBY. Because Star Wars: Galactic Atlas also places Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion in 5 BBY, the episodes set in between these two episodes, as well as Droids in Distress, must all take place in 5 BBY.
