- "I fled into the tangled stars beyond Kitel Phard, following secret ways Xendor had discovered. But the Green Blade followed, and I was cornered on Irkalla."
- ―Arden Lyn
During the First Great Schism between the Jedi Order and the Legions of Lettow, Jedi Master Awdrysta Pina and the leader of the Legions of Lettow, Arden Lyn, fought in a duel[1] on Irkalla.[2]
The duel[]
- "I exploded Pina's blade, driving its shards through his body. He was ruined, and I laughed out loud to see it."
- ―Arden Lyn
Arden Lyn was eventually cornered by Pina on Irkalla[2] in the Unknown Regions,[3] the two engaged in a duel until Lyn was disarmed. Unwilling to concede defeat, she channeled her strongest emotions–rage and sorrow, love for Xendor, and despair over what she believed had been unfairly taken from them–through the Kashi Mer talisman, destroying Pina's sword and mortally wounding him in the process. In his dying breaths, drawing upon the Force, Pina employed the rarely-used technique called morichro to cease all of Lyn's body functions, ultimately resulting in the stoppage of her heart. Lyn would have died if not for the intervention of unknown individuals.[2]
Aftermath[]
- "Pina had not killed me, though many times I have wished he had. I do not know who constructed my tomb or set me within it."
- ―Arden Lyn
At some point, an unidentified party discovered Lyn's body, and constructed a tomb, in which it was suspended in a stasis field, only to reawaken 24,496 years later during the reign of the Galactic Empire.[2]
