Dxun was one of the four moons of the planet Onderon, located in the Japrael system of the Inner Rim's Japrael sector.[1] The moon was situated at grid square O-9 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[3] It shared its name with Dxunwood.[4]

Dxun was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the fifty-seventh issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[1] published around February 3, 2016.[5] The moon first appeared in the Star Wars Legends continuity in Tales of the Jedi 1, the first issue of the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi miniseries authored by Tom Veitch and published in 1993.[6]
