The Earl of Vis was a male earl associated with Vis.[1] They were the cousin of a king of the planet Naboo who ruled prior to the reign of Queen Padmé Amidala,[2] which began in 32 BBY.[3] The earl built a banqueting rotunda in Theed, Naboo's capital city.[1]

The Earl of Vis was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the 24th issue of the De Agostini magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon,[1] published around June 17, 2015[4] and written by Tim Veekhoven.[5] The Earl was originally mentioned in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I by Kristin Lund.[6]
