The electro sword was a type of electrified short sword used by the Kage Warriors of the planet Quarzite.[1] Electro swords were used as melee weapons but were also often used as throwing blades, as Krismo Sodi used one in such a fashion to kill the Belugan Major Rigosso.[3]

Despite being an energized weapon, electro-swords were no match for a lightsaber, which could easily cut it in half.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Electro-swords first appeared in "Bounty," the twentieth episode from the fourth season of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.[3] They were first identified in the Encyclopedia entry for Kage Warriors.[5]

Contradictions[]

In the Clone Wars episode "Bounty," Asajj Ventress's lightsabers, easily cut several electro-swords half.[3] However, Sodi's entry from Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Character Encyclopedia - Join the Battle! mistakenly states that the swords could withstand a lightsaber blade.[6]
