Electronic translators were devices that automatically translated between different languages, such as between non-human languages and Galactic Basic.

Electronic translators included the translating vocoders that converted alien languages into speech, such as vocoder masks[1] or Ithorian translators.[2] Other devices, such as translation visors, rendered the translation as Aurebesh text.[3]

Most members of such species as Kyuzo,[4] Anomids, Gigorans[1] and Ithorians[2] relied on such translation devices or interpreter droids when talking with outsiders.
