Elite stormtroopers were employed by the Galactic Empire. Darth Vader was accompanied by six such stormtroopers during the Sith Lord's vengeance campaign two months after the Battle of Yavin.[1] These elite troopers often acted as bodyguards and personal soldiers for high-ranking leaders.
Behind the scenes[]
- "It's told through the eyes of a young ensign who is assigned as Vader's aide as he brutalizes his way across the galaxy. I got to invent a new class of Special Forces Stormtrooper as well. It's one of those stories that made me grin while I wrote it, and I love it to pieces."
- ―Brian Wood, about the Five Days of Sith mini-arc
