Energy scanners were used to detect a wide range of energy emissions. They could detect data on the emission's type, intensity, effect, and origin. Energy scanners could distinguish between artificial and natural energy types,[1] and could determine if the emissions indicated the presence of weapon power pack.[2] The Fabritech 9000 Energy Scanner was a type of energy scanner.[1]
