"Equals & Opposites" is a story from Star Wars Tales 21, collected in Star Wars Tales Volume 6 and set shortly after Force Heretic I: Remnant during the New Jedi Order era.
Plot summary[]
In the story, Jedi Master Kyle Katarn and Alpha Blue operative Jan Ors join forces with Lieutenant Pallin of the Imperial Army and his stormtroopers on the planet Ord Sedra in the Remnant, which has been conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong and a Peace Brigade force under local leader Tarneel. As a secondary plotline, longtime partners Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors wrestle with questions of love and possible marriage in a time of war.
