The Eviscerator was an Imperial-class Star Destroyer under the command of Admiral Garrick Versio.

History[]

"Del! The Eviscerator is going down. Do you copy?"
―Iden Versio during the Battle of Jakku[2]

Under the command of Admiral Garrick Versio, the ship participated in the Battle of Endor, where it was part of the fleet defending the DS-2 Death Star II Mobile Battle Station from the coming Rebel assault. Although the Galactic Empire lost at Endor, with the destruction of the battle station and the death of the Emperor, Versio and the Eviscerator escaped, and retreated to the Jinata system. While orbiting Vardos, the admiral received a posthumous message from the Emperor about Operation: Cinder, which formed part of the Imperial Contingency plan.[2]

The ship later took part in the Battle of Jakku, where it was launched TIE fighter forces led by Gideon Haskagainst the Corvus. Throughout the final stages of the battle it was badly damaged while battling the New Republic Defense Fleet resulting it beginning to lose its structural integrity. As the ship burnt in the skies of Jakku, it then suffered critical damage to the reactor, resulting in it losing stability. Prior to Eviscerator going down, the rapidly disintegrating ship was boarded by Versio's daughter, Iden, who fought her way to the bridge and attempted to convince her father to come with her. He refused and parted ways with Iden, who quickly rushed to an escape pod before the doomed ship crashed onto Jakku's deserts.[2]
