Executive officer[1] (shortened to XO),[7] or first officer,[8] was a position within the Galactic Empire's Imperial Navy,[1] the Chiss Ascendancy,[9] the New Republic,[3] the Resistance,[1] and the First Order.[4]
History[]
Tagge Corporation[]
The position was used in the Tagge Corporation, where it was held by Lady Domina Tagge, the head of the company.[6]
Galactic Empire[]
Nymos Lyle served as the executive officer to Admiral Rae Sloane on board the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Vigilance during the Battle of Endor.[1]
New Republic[]
Lieutenant Jensen Corbyt served as the executive officer to Captain Hayle on board a New Republic cruiser.[3] Vic Hawkins was executive officer to General Hera Syndulla aboard Home One.[10]
Resistance[]
During the First Order-Resistance War, Captain Idrosen Gawat served as Admiral Gial Ackbar's executive aboard the Raddus.[11] He was killed along with most of the Resistance High Command during the Battle of Oetchi.[12]
