- "What are you? Some kind of a monster?"
"I am a Jedi." - ―Izuma and F, before she ignites her lightsaber
F's lightsaber was a yellow-bladed lightsaber with a thin, curved blade that was used by the Jedi Padawan F. During the Imperial Era, F used her lightsaber to cut off the hand of the raider Izuma, who was holding Haru, a resident of Meevai Village on the planet Keelia, at blaster-point.
Description[]
F's lightsaber was a yellow-bladed lightsaber used by F, a Jedi Padawan of the Jedi Order.[1] The lightsaber had a rectangular black hilt that was slightly curved. The base of the hilt and the guard were gray. The hilt was decorated and had a small red circle near the top on both sides, beneath which was a blue pattern. When activated, the guard separated horizontally and produced a ring of plasma around it that was the same color as the blade. The single blade was thin and curved to a point.[2] The lightsaber was powered by a kyber crystal.[3]
History[]
During the Imperial Era, F attended the wedding of Asu and Haru, residents of Meevai Village on the planet[2] Keelia.[4] The next day, a battle occurred after Haru gave herself up as a hostage to the raider Izuma. After most of[2] his[5] forces were defeated, Izuma grabbed Haru and held a blaster to her. F, who was standing some distance away, raised[2] her[1] lightsaber and ignited it while facing Izuma. She then held the lightsaber so that its blade pointed behind her, and after a few moments, she rushed toward Izuma, using a device in her shoe to propel her forward, and cut off his hand holding the blaster with her lightsaber. Izuma collapsed, and F remained crouched behind him and Haru while holding her lightsaber, which she deactivated soon after.[2]

Proposals for F's lightsaber
F's lightsaber first appeared in "The Village Bride," a non-canon short film directed by Hitoshi Haga, written by Haga and Takahito Oonishi, and released as part of the first volume of the Star Wars: Visions series. The animated short, produced by Kinema Citrus Co., was released on Disney+[2] on September 22, 2021.[6] The weapon was identified in The Art of Star Wars: Visions, a 2022 reference book by Zack Davisson. The lightsaber was designed by Takeshi Takakura, who was proud of his design and stated that it turned out perfect.[1]
F's lightsaber has a distinct Japanese sword motif, similar to the Mandalorian Darksaber. Unlike traditional lightsabers, it has a thin blade like a katana. Multiple proposals for the design of the lightsaber were created, including one with a bent hilt and designs with different hilt patterns and colors. The yellow color of the blade is similar to the lightsaber used by[1] the Jedi[7] Rey in[1] the 2019 film[7] The Rise of Skywalker. At time of the short's release, yellow lightsabers were rarely depicted onscreen and were mostly wielded by Jedi Temple Guards. The Art of Star Wars: Visions noted that some say that yellow lightsabers represent a desire to seek balance between knowledge and action.[1] Haga said that the lightsaber was there to support the story, but it was really about loving nature.[8]
At the Star Wars: Visions panel at Celebration Japan on April 19, 2025, it was announced that "The Lost Ones", a sequel to "The Village Bride", will release on October 29, 2025 as part of the third volume of Visions. A trailer shown at the panel revealed F's lightsaber will appear in the sequel.[9]
