An FX-9 surgical assistant[3] was a FX-series medical droid manufactured by Medtech Industries. During Darth Vader's reconstruction after his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi, a FX-9 supplied the wounded Sith Lord with a blood transfusion.[1]

The FX-9 surgical assistant was identified as the FX-6 medical droid in "Every Droid in Star Wars", a video posted on StarWarsKids.com in 2019.[4]
