During the Battle of Ryloth, the Galactic Republic managed to break through the Ryloth blockade during its counteroffensive to liberate the planet Ryloth from the Confederacy of Independent Systems. While the Republic's first assault on the blockade ended in failure, its second attack—a ramming attack brought about by a false surrender masterminded by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, followed shortly thereafter by a Marg Sabl maneuver devised by Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano—successfully shattered the CIS fleet over Ryloth.[4] Skywalker's fleet continued to engage the enemy over Ryloth until the CIS fleet retreated from Ryloth space.[3]
