Farbreini MicroElectronics Ltd.,[1] or just Farbreini MicroElectronics,[2] was a boutique electronics firm based on the planet Coruscant.[1] In 22 BBY,[3] the company had a branch office near the Huosnoughow Foundation on Coruscant.[2] The firm produced the BPEA-1A Cascader, a relatively simple piece of electronic wizardry that allowed those in the public eye to have an extra level of control over their appearance. The device was available during the Galactic Civil War and consisted of a holoprojector connected to a patented projection matrix called the electronic molecular excitation net.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current canon, Farbreini MicroElectronics Ltd. was first mentioned in Lead by Example, a Star Wars Roleplaying supplement written by John Dunn and published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2016 for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game system.[1] The company originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was introduced as Farbreini MicroElectronics Limited in Galladinium's Fantastic Technology, a 1995 West End Games supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[4]
