- "Have… Have you come to hurt us?"
"Of course not! What are you children doing here?" - ―Kralla and Obi-Wan Kenobi
Felucians were a short reptilian species who inhabited Felucia.
Biology and appearance[]
Felucians were short in stature, with thick legs and four-fingered hands. They had elongated heads with reptilian faces, similar to that of a tortoise, with beady eyes that were often hidden behind goggles. Their skin varied in tone from orange to light green. They were related to the Gossam.[1]
History[]
At some point the species later known as Felucians migrated on Felucia and settled as farmers and traders.[1] A group of Felucians, led by Casiss, tended to a nysillin farm at the time of the Clone Wars. Threatened by Hondo's gang of pirates who wanted to steal their crops, they hired Sugi's band of bounty hunters to protect them. However, they received combat training from Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano, who helped them defend their farm, and taught them to fend for themselves from then on. Later some Felucians served the Grand Army of the Republic as scouts during the Second Battle of Felucia.
Behind the scenes[]
Originally, the Felucian farmers shared their name with the Force-sensitive Felucians introduced in the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, but this was rectified with the publication of Star Wars: The Official Starships & Vehicles Collection 67, which identified the Force-sensitive Felucians as "Jungle Felucians."
