The Filar-Nitzan were a sentient species in the galaxy. The High Republic Era Jedi Master Nubarron, who looked like a pink-and-purple cloud shot through with lightning, refused to identify their species, leading to speculation they were a member of a previously unknown race of Filar-Nitzan.[1]
In 231 BBY,[2] the Mirialan Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh mentally recalled the speculation regarding Nubarron's species, including the possbility of them being an unknown race of Filar-Nitzan, as she spoke with the Jedi Master on the space station Starlight Beacon.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Filar-Nitzan were mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the 2021 novel The High Republic: Out of the Shadows, written by Justina Ireland as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase I.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Filar-Nitzan originated in the 1995 West End Games roleplaying sourcebook Alliance Intelligence Reports, where they were a gaseous sentient species.[4]
