Ethan was a human male Jedi who had no master. When he was contacted by Margrave Juro, who was seeking to revive the Jedi Order, Ethan traveled to Hy Izlan, where he met six other Jedi who were waiting to receive lightsabers crafted by the legendary sabersmith Lah Zhima. However, when Lah Zhima's daughter, Lah Kara, delivered the lightsabers, the others revealed themselves to be Sith and prepared to take down Juro. Ethan drew his new lightsaber alongside Kara and Juro, defeating the others, save for Homen, who joined them in their mission to restore the Jedi, and save Lah Zhima.

Ethan appeared in "The Ninth Jedi," a Star Wars: Visions short. The character is voiced by Hiromu Mineta in Japanese and Masi Oka in English.
