Ruusan 2

Ruusan 2 was a moon of the planet Ruusan, located in the Mid Rim Ruusan system. It was one of the Three Sisters. A Confederate listening post was positioned there during the Clone Wars.

Ruusan moon 1 — The *Vulture's Claw* flies through the moon's atmosphere toward Skytop Station.

The moon had a very turbulent atmosphere with frequent storms. Lightning and giant clouds constantly raged over the surface.^[1]

History[]

In 22 BBY, during the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems built the Skytop Station and positioned it in the atmosphere of the Ruusan moon. Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano infiltrated the station on a mission to retrieve the stolen R2-D2. The station was eventually destroyed after they had completed their mission.

Behind the scenes[]

Although not mentioned individually, Ruusan 2 is one of "the triplets" seen and mentioned in the novels Dark Forces: Rebel Agent and Dark Forces: Jedi Knight, written several years before Star Wars: The Clone Wars series.

Also according to the latter, some "ruins" are tentatively mentioned to be on one of the moons, but not specifying which. The sources haven't identified that moon with Ruusan 2, or whether the ruins belonged to the Skytop Station.
