The Filthy Zephyrs was a gang of pirate Quarren who operated on the ocean planet of Manaan. At one point, Skoova Stev, Wan'yek Whett, and the rest of the crew of the Grapnel encountered the gang after crashing on Manaan.[1]
History[]
The Filthy Zephyrs had a hideout on the ocean floor of Manaan. After the Grapnel's crash-landing and subsequent sinking on the ocean planet, several of the Filthy Zephyrs surrounded the crew and attempted to raid them, with their list of demands including the Grapnel's entire fish cargo, which contained the carcass of a gooberfish. The crew briefly escaped before being cornered in a dead end by four of the pirate Quarren, armed with blasters. The Filthy Zephyrs failed to apprehend the crew however, as first mate Skoova Stev succesfully intimidated the pirates with his deranged expression when attempting to imitate the mating call of a glumbrig eel. The pirates dropped their weapons and in the ensuing confusion, Captain Wan'yek Whett, Stev, and the rest of the crew managed to evade the Filthy Zephyrs and steal their ship, fleeing Manaan.[1]
Equipment[]
At least four of the Filthy Zephyrs carried blasters. They also owned at least one starship, which was stolen by Wan'yek Whett and his fishing crew after crashing their previous ship.[1]
