The Fira was the traditional weapon of Selkath warriors belonging to Order of Shasa on the planet Manaan. The Fira was a curved sword able to inflict grievous wounds, every one forged by each member of the Order.
Members of the Order of Shasa were required to construct their Fira sword from metals found in the wreckage of a kolto harvester located in the Hrakert Rift. The harvester's hull plating contained cortosis ore, making the Fira blade invulnerable to a lightsaber. The cortosis metal had to be shaped in the heat of underwater volcanic vents, making the construction of the Fira a dangerous and time-consuming task.
