"Could be worth a fortune, but probably fake."
―Ezra Bridger comments in his journal on a fire ruby he stole[src]

Fire rubies were a type of gemstone which could be extremely valuable during the early years of the Galactic Empire's reign.[1] In Lothal Year 3272,[2] the street urchin and pickpocket Ezra Bridger stole a fire ruby in the Imperial pavilion district of the planet Lothal's Capital City. Bridger later wrote about the haul in his journal, in which he commented that the gem was probably fake.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Fire rubies were first mentioned in Rebel Journal by Ezra Bridger, a reference book written by Daniel Wallace and released in 2014.
